A Barrie woman is facing charges after fleeing the scene of a collision that injured a man, police say. The collision between a passenger vehicle and an e-bike that left one man with minor injuries happened around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday. Police say camera footage in the area of Anne Street North at Dunlop Street revealed the passenger vehicle running a red light on Anne Street when it struck the e-bike. According to police, camera footage shows the driver leaving the scene, travelling northbound on Anne Street. The e-bike rider, a 38-year-old man, suffered minor injuries, police say. Police say about half an hour later, officers located the passenger vehicle in a Bayfield Street parking lot with damage consistent with the collision. Officers arrested a woman in the car for suspicion of drunk driving. She was taken to police headquarters, where tests confirmed she was nearly four times over the legal limit, police say. The 45-year-old Barrie woman now faces charges of operation while impaired, failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident and driving a motor vehicle without a validated permit.
