A 43-year-old man has been charged following an Aylmer Police Service investigation into allegations involving a youth. Police said they were contacted after a youth disclosed historical incidents that are alleged to have occurred between October and December 2022 at a residence in Aylmer. Investigators allege the accused was known to the victim and had previously been in a relationship with the victim’s mother. The 43-year-old man has been charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, sexual interference and sexual exploitation. The accused was arrested by police in Huron County and later released with conditions.
