Kip comes to Rogers Arena: ‘Heated Rivalry’ actor surprises fans at Canucks Pride Night

The worlds of real and fictional hockey collided Wednesday when Heated Rivalry star Robbie Graham‑Kuntz helped the Vancouver Canucks celebrate their ninth annual Pride Night.

Graham‑Kuntz—known to fans of the hit television show as Kip, the smoothie‑making love interest of fictional hockey star Scott Hunter—attended the game wearing the Canucks’ 2026 Pride Night jersey, designed by Vancouver‑based artist Brent Haddow.

The Ontario-born actor kept the Pride jersey on until a mid‑game moment when the jumbotron at Rogers Arena began playing an iconic scene from episode five of Heated Rivalry, in which Kip and Hunter publicly come out in the aftermath of a championship-winning game.

In video posted to social media, you can hear Graham-Kuntz being welcomed to Rogers Arena, standing up from his seat and removing the Pride jersey to reveal Hunter’s jersey underneath.

The appearance was part of a night celebrating Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community, with in‑arena performances, special-edition merchandise and a $20,000 donation to QMUNITY.

It seems to have brought some much-needed good fortune to the Canucks.

After falling behind 2-0, the Canucks rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Washington Capitals, ending an 11-game winless run.
