Edmonton police are investigating the death of a man in central Edmonton whose death is considered suspicious. Officers responded to a weapons complaint in the area of 106 Avenue and 113 Street from around 6:30 a.m. They found an injured man who was treated, taken to hospital and then pronounced dead. People living nearby say they heard gunshots and saw a taped-off car with a broken driver’s side window. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday as the homicide unit investigates. Police are looking for video footage from the area of 111 Street to 115 Street and 103 Avenue to 107 Avenue that may have caught a dark-coloured SUV leaving the scene between 5:30 and 7 a.m. Any drivers in the area at that time with dash cam footage or businesses with security cameras are asked to contact Edmonton police at 780-423-4567 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
