Police say driver clocked at more than twice the speed limit in Brant County

A young driver from Paris, Ont. has been charged after police say they were caught speeding at more than twice the limit.

The driver was pulled over on Johnson Road between Hansford Drive and Brant County Road 18 near the outskirts of Brantford on Monday around 11 p.m.

Police said the driver was clocked at 130 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

The 19-year-old was charged with stunt driving and speeding 1 – 49 km/h over the posted limit.

Their licence has been suspended for 30 days and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
