Construction zone in effect at Highway 24 and Highway 403, ramp closure in place

Drivers are being advised to use caution at the intersection of Highway 24 and Highway 403.

Ontario Provincial Police said construction crews and heavy equipment are active in the area, and motorists are reminded to slow down and remain alert while travelling through the zone.

Officials note that, under Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act, fines are increased in designated construction areas.

As part of the work, the westbound on-ramp from Rest Acres Road to Highway 403 in Brant will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.

Drivers are asked to plan ahead and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
