Irish rockers U2 showcased a mix of innocence and experience on stage in Toronto this week, inviting several fans up on stage to perform with them during two separate concerts at the Air Canada Centre.

On Monday, Bono, The Edge and company were joined on stage by a Toronto-based tribute band called Acrobat. The Canadians wound up playing "Desire" with their idols.

The next day, one Acrobat band member was back at the ACC to thank Bono in person before that night's show.

"I wanted to take the opportunity to say, 'Thanks, B,'" Acrobat's Mark Baker told CTV Toronto.

In U2's second Toronto performance on Tuesday, the band called fan Stephanie van der Linde up on stage to play acoustic guitar for them. Van der Linde had been holding a sign in the crowd that said her dream was to play guitar with U2.

Van der Linde got her wish, as she joined the band for renditions of "Angel of Harlem" and "All I Want is You."

U2 is in the middle of its Innocence + Experience tour.
