Speed was a factor in Oro-Medonte crash that sent 3 to hospital: OPP

Single-vehicle crash on Line 7 N in Oro-Medonte on Thurs., July 10, 2025.

A single-vehicle collision in Oro-Medonte early Thursday morning sent three people to the hospital and forced a lengthy road closure.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. on Line 7 north. Police say the three occupants, whose identities haven’t been disclosed, were injured.

Paramedics say one person in his 20s was airlifted by air ambulance to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto for treatment of critical injuries.

One person was charged with careless driving. Police say speed was a factor in the collision.

Police closed Line 7 north from Horseshoe Valley Road East and Mill Pond Sideroad for the investigation. It has since reopened.
