B.C. RCMP seize over 50 kg of drugs, $240K in cash in Okanagan bust

Mounties who searched two vehicles and three homes in B.C.’s Okanagan late last year seized drugs, guns and cash in an operation they say led to a “significant disruption” of an organized crime group.

The investigation began in 2024, and the search warrants were executed in Kelowna and Penticton on Dec. 17, 2025, the RCMP announced in a statement Thursday. Officers from several detachments, as well as the heavily armed emergency response team, were involved in the bust.

Twenty-nine kilograms of meth, 18 kilograms of cocaine and four kilograms of fentanyl were seized, along with 8,500 Xanax pills and more than 50 litres of suspected GHB. Police also found two firearms, $240,000 in cash, and five cartons of illegal cigarettes.

“This enforcement action represents a significant disruption to an organized crime group trafficking illicit drugs in the southeast district, removing a significant quantity of dangerous drugs and firearms from our communities,” said Staff Sgt. Trent Marshall, in a statement.

Four people were arrested and released, and no charges have been laid.
