Ottawa police seek witnesses to multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 174

The Ottawa Police Service is asking for witnesses to come forward following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 174 earlier this week.

Police say it happened at around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, east of Trim Road.

According to police, a white Audi was seen speeding in the westbound lanes at the time. Police say the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a guardrail and crossed into the eastbound lanes, striking a grey SUV and a blue pickup truck.

The SUV and pickup truck both ended up in the ditch and the drivers were injured. One remains in hospital with critical injuries.

Police have charged the Audi driver, a 31-year-old man, with dangerous driving and impaired driving.

Investigators are looking to speak to witnesses and anyone who might have dashcam footage of the crash.
