Elliot Lake man threatened his neighbour, police say

A 63-year-old Elliot Lake man has been charged with uttering threats following an incident at an apartment building in the community.

Ontario Provincial Police responded around 4:15 p.m. on March 18 to a report of a dispute between neighbours at an apartment complex on Hillside Drive North.

“Investigation determined a tenant who is known to police had threatened to physically harm the complainant’s neighbour multiple times,” OPP said in a news release March 19.

Police arrested the man and charged him with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on June 11.
