Brantford man arrested for altercation involving weapon

The Brantford Police Service has arrested a man following an altercation involving a weapon.

Police responded to a “disturbance” at approximately 1:40 a.m. Wednesday between two people near Oxford Street and King George Road. One them allegedly pulled out a weapon and drove off before officers arrived on scene.

The vehicle was located and the suspect taken into custody.

The 19-year-old from Brantford was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
