Part of Highway 986 closed north of Edmonton for serious collision: RCMP

Peace River RCMP are investigating what they describe as a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 986.

The area of the highway near the entrance of Woodland Cree First Nation is closed, according to a news release.

The highway will be closed until emergency crews and officers have finished their work at the scene.

An update will become available when the highway reopens.

Woodland Cree First Nation is approximately 485 kilometres north of Edmonton.
