The wait is over – the Troubadour Summer Concert Series is taking over downtown Barrie today for the first of four Saturdays throughout the summer. Bring your little ones to kick-start the day at the Troubadour Treehouse! Story Time with Hey Bootsy at 11:15 a.m. at Meridian Place. After Story Time, you can make your way over to the nearby Street Stage at Owen Street and Dunlop Street at 12 p.m. for the Super Simple Summer Sing-Along featuring popular children’s performers Caitie and Tobee. Throughout the day, kids can play on the inflatables and take part in arts and crafts activities, all for free. Some emerging artists will provide musical entertainment throughout the afternoon as the Beer Garden officially opens at 2 p.m. at Meridian Place. The Local Opener Showcase will get underway at 5 p.m. featuring chosen local talent by industry professionals. At 7:30 p.m., Sam Polley & The Old Tomorrows will hit the stage making way for headliners The Roadhammers. The Troubadour Summer Concert Series is presented by Paul Sadlon Motors, CTV News Barrie, PURE COUNTRY 106, BOUNCE 104.1, Hey Bear Productions, Lemmon Entertainment, City of Barrie and Tourism Barrie.
