A cyclist is in the hospital with a head injury after he crashed his e-bike while not wearing a helmet. Montreal police (SPVM) confirmed on Saturday morning that the 40-year-old man’s condition has stabilized and authorities no longer fear for his life. Emergency responders found the cyclist unconscious at the Senkus Street and Cordner Street intersection near Carrefour Angrignon shortly after 5 a.m. on Saturday morning. “According to initial reports, the cyclist was riding on Senkus Street. Upon reaching the intersection with Cordner Street, he reportedly entered the intersection at the same time as a vehicle. Both parties reportedly braked suddenly to avoid a collision, successfully,” said SPVM spokesperson Johany Charland. Police said that the cyclist then clipped a curb and crashed, hitting his head. He was transported to the hospital with a head injury.
