Police: No threat to public after ‘active shooter’ call

South Simcoe Police say the coast is clear after officers responded to a serious call Monday afternoon.

Police were called to the area of 10th Line and 25th Sideroad shortly before 11:30 a.m. for what they say was a report of an active shooter in the area.

In a post on social media, police confirmed there are no injures nor weapons located and no threat to public safety following an investigation.

Earlier on Monday, Innisfil Fire and Simcoe County Paramedics were also on scene in case support was needed.

In images shared to CTV News by residents, officers were seen canvassing the area near 10th Line and 25th Sideroad.
