Saskatoon police are investigating three stabbings that occurred over the weekend, with officers believing two of the incidents were committed by the same suspects. On Saturday around 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man who had been stabbed and bear sprayed on the 200 block of 23rd Street East. When they arrived, a man was being treated by paramedics for what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to a news release on Monday. Police say a group of males had confronted the victim before stabbing and bear spraying him. Just 15 minutes later, police were called to the 100 block of 2nd Avenue North for a report about another injured man. Police say they learned he was also attacked and injured in an apparent stabbing. The 32-year-old victim was also confronted before the attack and officers believe the same suspects were involved in both incidents. The victim of the second incident was taken to hospital for further medical care. His injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening. Saskatoon police are also investigating another stabbing from early Saturday morning. At around 2:20 a.m., officers were called to the 400 block of 21st Street East in response to an injured person. When they arrived, officers found a 19-year-old man suffering from non-life-threatening stabbing injuries. He was taken to hospital for further treatment. In their investigation, officers found that there had been a physical altercation between multiple suspects and the victim as well as with a female he was with before the stabbing. Saskatoon police are asking anyone with information about these incidents to contact the service or submit a tip through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
