An investigation by the North Bay Police Service, with help from police in Sudbury, has ended with three arrests and the seizure of drugs with a street value of $197,000 and watches worth $180,000 and a large amount of cash. The items were seized when officers from both cities executed search warrants on a residence on Marshall Park Drive in North Bay and on Third Avenue in Coniston. Police found drugs believed to be 573 grams of cocaine (total street value $57,410); 427 grams of MDMA (total street value $58,974); four grams of crystal meth (total street value $160); and, 7,365 grams of illicit cannabis (total street value $73,651); 686 grams of hash (total street value $6,860). Rolex, Audemars Piguet watches Police also found four Rolex watches with an estimated value exceeding $100,000 and one Audemars Piguet watch worth more than $80,000. A total of $37,589 in cash and a 2013 Subaru were also seized. A 32-year-old North Bay man has been charged with drug trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He is being held in custody. A 41-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from Coniston, have been charged with drug trafficking, several weapons offences and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Both of them have been released with a future court date. “Our street crime unit played a critical role in this investigation, disrupting a significant supply of illicit drugs moving through multiple jurisdictions,” North Bay police Insp. Scott McFarlane said in the news release. “We are grateful to our partners at the Greater Sudbury Police Service for their assistance and collaboration, which was instrumental in achieving this successful outcome. Together, we remain committed to protecting our communities by targeting those who profit from the drug trade.”
