The New Brunswick RCMP has recovered some STIHL equipment worth nearly $650,000 that was stolen from a London, Ont., business last February. A STIHL representative told police they found what they believed to be the stolen merchandise being sold at retail stores in Moncton, N.B., and Charlottetown and Montague, P.E.I., on June 17. Police executed four search warrants at the identified businesses on June 23, according to an RCMP news release. “The searches conducted at the Moncton and PEI locations resulted in the seizure of hundreds of STIHL products believed to have been stolen during the February theft in London,” the release reads. “The estimated retail value of the items recovered is approximately $20,000.” The investigation is ongoing and the RCMP is working with the London Police Service.
