Woman charged with attempted murder after man hit by car ‘intentionally’: RCMP

A 29-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after being accused of intentionally hitting a man multiple times with a vehicle.

A Manitoba woman is facing 10 charges, including attempted murder, after police allege she “intentionally” hit a man with her car in Dauphin, Man.

According to police, the incident took place just after 11 p.m. on Tuesday in the 100 block of Main Street.

Officers allege a woman “clipped” the victim with her car and then hit him again when he got up and tried to run away. Police note the woman knew the male victim.

Mounties say the suspect proceeded to get out of her car and assault the man as he lay on the ground. A bystander attempted to stop the attack; however, the suspect then assaulted the bystander, according to RCMP.

The woman fled the scene, and both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hours later, Mounties found and arrested the suspect. She is facing several charges, including attempted murder, assault with a weapon and two counts of assault. She is in custody.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
