Teens stabbed in separate incidents: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police are asking for information after two separate stabbings sent two teens to hospital.

The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating after two teenagers were stabbed in separate incidents on Wednesday.

The first attack happened just before 5:40 p.m. in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue.

When officers got to the scene, they found a 16-year-old stabbing victim. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police investigated and determined the victim was attacked by an unknown group of males who fled the scene.

The second incident happened around 10:25 p.m. in the 300 block of Pritchard Avenue.

Police allege this attack involved the stabbing of a 19-year-old, who was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The suspects in this case are also a group of males, according to police.

According to police, the investigations are still in the early stages. The stabbings are not believed to be related to each other. Police have yet to determine if the same suspects were involved in both incidents.
