The Windsor Police Service is asking for the public’s help in the homicide investigation of a 26-year-old woman. Police say the woman was found with multiple stab wounds in a home in the 1100 block of Langlois Avenue on Wednesday. She was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. The suspect, 29-year-old Daniel Nathaniel Assing, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Investigators are requesting video surveillance footage from residents and businesses in the highlighted area between Erie Street and Giles Boulevard, with a particular appeal to anyone whose property faces the alley of Palermo Lane. Police are asking the public to review any footage captured between 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, and 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, and to check for a 2010 blue two-door Hyundai believed to be linked to the incident.
