'Sudden death' in Pickering under investigation

Homicide officers are investigating after a man's body was discovered in a field in Pickering.

Police were called to the area of Sideline 4, just north of Highway 7, at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Friday. A witness reported finding a man's body in a field.

Police located the body and the coroner was called to the scene. The Durham Regional Police Major Crime-Homicide and West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau are also on scene.

Officers have provided few details, but said that the death appeared to be suspicious.
