Spitfires stay alive, down Rangers 4-2 in Game 3

The Spits defended their home turf in the third round of the OHL playoffs on Monday night.

The Windsor Spitfires won Game 3 of the OHL Western Conference final, beating the Kitchener Rangers 4-2 on Monday night at the WFCU Centre.

Windsor scored twice on the power play in the first period, with Jakub Fibigr and Alex Pharand scoring.

Andrew Robinson struck early in the third period for the game-winner, while Ethan Garden added an empty-net goal late.

Kitchener still leads the best-of-seven series 2-1. Game 4 is set for Wednesday night at the WFCU Centre.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., with the pre-game show hosted by Steve Bell beginning at 6:50 p.m. on AM800.
