I have dealt with a dry, irritated scalp since I was a preteen, which tends to flare up in the spring and fall. I’ve tried all kinds of hair products, ranging from all-natural options to shampoos and conditioners filled with harsh chemicals, to find the best one for my hair. They always seem to work for the first few weeks, and then my scalp would go back to its flaky, itchy state, and my hair would be greasy within a day of washing.
Since I’m always on the hunt for products that will help calm my scalp, I was super eager to try the new Tea Tree & Rosemary Shampoo and Conditioner Set from Renpure. I’ve been using it for about two months now, and not only am I super satisfied with the results, but I’m also a little surprised with how it’s changed my hair texture.
I’m currently growing out a bob, so using products that have good ingredients is important to keep my hair healthy as it grows. Both the shampoo and conditioner are made with 95% plant-based ingredients and don’t contain any parabens, sulphates, or dyes, so I feel good about putting them on my hair and scalp. Since using this duo for over a month, my hair has felt cleaner and lighter than ever before.
I remember using tea tree shampoos as a teen to help treat my dandruff, so the smell was instantly nostalgic to me. The scent of the Renpure Tea Tree & Rosemary Shampoo and Conditioner isn’t too strong, which I like because it keeps my hair smelling fresh and slightly minty without overpowering other scents I wear. On wash days where I’m cleaning a day or two of dry shampoo or other styling products out of my hair, I like to double up with the Renpure Tea Tree & Rosemary Scalp Treatment for an extra clean, before moving onto conditioner.
The first time I used the Renpure Tea Tree & Rosemary Conditioner, I noticed it was thinner than a lot of the other conditioners I’ve tried over the years. Its light texture means it doesn’t weigh down my hair or make it feel greasy right after I’ve washed it. I have medium-length hair that’s not thin or thick, so one pump is plenty for me, and I like to let it sit on my mid-lengths and ends while I wash my face or shave my legs to really let it do its thing. It rinses out with ease and leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and looking shiny. The combo has almost completely cut out any irritation I had on my scalp, and the amount of dandruff I deal with has also reduced greatly.
The size of the bottles is also really generous for the price, and the pumps are customized to Renpure products to dispense smaller amounts. That means you can use one pump for shorter hair, or a few for longer or thicker tresses. Two pumps of shampoo is what I usually go for with my first wash, and a single pump is enough to give me a rich lather on my second. I find doing two passes with the shampoo really gets my scalp squeaky clean and gently cleanses the roots of my hair.
A surprising result of using the Renpure Tea Tree & Rosemary Shampoo and Conditioner is the enhancement of my hair’s natural texture. After years of thinking I have straight and flat hair, I discovered that my hair actually has a bit of a wave to it! Using the Renpure products takes weight off my strands and allows my natural texture to shine. The plant-based ingredients also reduce frizz, so my hair keeps its wave all day without getting puffy, even on humid days.
With an average rating of 4.2 out of 5 Stars, numerous reviewers highlight the spa-like scent, appreciate how gentle it is, and say it leaves their manes feeling incredibly clean. Some even say it gives their hair a boost of volume while revealing their natural texture, just like me. For the price and quality, you really can’t go wrong.
