Sunshine to kick off the new week in Ottawa

It’s a sunny and mild start to the new work week in Ottawa, but rain is expected over the next two days.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for a mainly sunny day today. High 26 C with the humidex making it feel like 30.

It will be partly cloudy tonight. Low 16 C.

Tuesday will begin with a mix of sun and cloud before becoming cloudy late in the morning. Rain is expected late in the morning and the afternoon, with the risk of a thunderstorm. High 25 C.

Wednesday will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 23 C.

The outlook for Thursday calls for a mix of sun and cloud. High 26 C.

Friday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 26 C.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of 27 C and a low of 16 C.
