Hot and humid weather returns to Ottawa, with humidity making it feel like 34 today

The heat is returning to Ottawa this week, with the humidex making it feel like 34 today and Thursday and temperatures set to soar to 30 C for the weekend.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud today with a 40 per cent chance of afternoon showers. There is a risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon. High 26 C with the humidex making it feel like 34.

It will be partly cloudy tonight with a 60 per cent chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm. Low 18 C.

Thursday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 60 per cent chance of showers. High 26 C with the humidex making it feel like 34.

Friday will have a mix of sun and cloud. High 30 C.

The outlook for Saturday calls for a mix of sun and cloud. High 30 C.

Sunday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 29 C.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of 27 C and a low of 16 C.
