A man is dead after an altercation in a south Edmonton parking lot last week. Police were called to the lot at 28 Avenue and Mill Woods Road at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday. Officers found an injured 23-year-old man at the scene. He died before crews were able to take him to hospital. According to investigators, the man had approached a vehicle in the parking lot and there was a confrontation. As the driver left, they accidentally struck him with the vehicle. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash. The investigation is still underway. Police say no charges are pending at this time.
