A 47-year-old man is facing charges after a drug trafficking investigation in Centretown, Ottawa police announced Tuesday. Police say members of the Central District Neighbourhood Resource Team (NRT) investigated several community complaints about suspected drug activity around Cooper Street. The suspect was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds of crime. Officers seized 21.9 grams of crack cocaine, 11.5 grams of fentanyl, 103 hydromorphone pills, a scale, two cell phones and $1,275 in cash during the arrest. The charges have not been proven in court. The suspect was not identified. Anyone with information about drug activity in the area is asked to contact Ottawa police.
