Andrew H. is eastern Ontario’s newest millionaire The 20-year lottery player from Arnprior, Ont. took home a prize of $1 million in the Lotto 649 Gold Ball Draw on June 17. He told the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) that he discovered his big win while checking his ticket at the store. “I checked it many times to make sure it was real,” he said. “It’s overwhelming and shocking. It still feels unbelievable to have won an amount like this.” Andrew told the OLG he plans to put his windfall towards a vacation and home renovations. The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Raglan Street in Renfrew. The classic Lotto 649 draw offers a fixed $5 million jackpot for every draw, while the Gold Ball Draw guarantees a $1 million prize, or the growing jackpot starting at $10 million that can exceed $60 million.
