Laptop stolen while Guelph student worked on assignment

A university student in Guelph may have a good reason to ask for an extension on a school assignment.

The man told police he was doing schoolwork on a laptop at his Stone Road West home on Tuesday around 10:15 p.m. He left the living room to make something to eat, but when he got back his laptop was missing.

He looked outside and saw a man holding his computer. He yelled at the man, but he took off.

The suspect was described as a man wearing a large brown jacket, black winter hat and black pants. He was also riding a black bicycle.
