A Montreal-area man accused of domestic violence who allegedly cut off his GPS tracking bracelet has been arrested in Ontario following a nearly three-month search, Longueuil police say. Andres Felipe Munoz allegedly altered his appearance in order to evade the authorities before he was finally caught by York Regional Police on June 30 at around 6 a.m. He has since been handed over to Longueuil police to face charges, including probation violations and criminal harassment. In a news release issued Thursday, Longueuil police said the 35-year-old man was on a Canada-wide arrest warrant since April 2 for allegedly tampering with the tracking device he was required to wear as part of a domestic violence case. Munoz remains in custody pending further court proceedings.
