2.6 magnitude seismic event recorded in northeast Canada Day

Earthquakes Canada records 2.6 magnitude earthquake Julky 1

U.S. Geological Survey is reporting 2.6 magnitude earthquake in the Parry Sound area July 1.

The agency posted it was registered at 12:41 A.M. 35 kilometres from the unorganized centre of the Parry Sound district with a depth of nine kilometres.

There were no reports of injuries, damage or official confirmation from Earthquakes Canada.
