Police in N.L. charge St. John's man with multiple sexual offences against two youths

ST. JOHN’S — Newfoundland police have charged a 37-year-old St. John’s man in connection with alleged sexual violence against two youths.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says it received a report on Feb. 20 regarding sexual violence against a teenage girl.

Police say they discovered a second victim during the investigation.

The constabulary’s child abuse and sexual assault unit was brought into the case.

Police said they charged the suspect on Monday with sexual assault, sexual interference and multiple counts of luring children under the ages of 16 and 18.

He’s also accused of being a householder permitting sexual activity, of arranging to commit sexual offences against children and with failure to comply with a release order.
