Alberta Food and Beverage Expo in Lethbridge on Saturday

You can check out the Alberta Food and Beverage Expo at the Lethbridge Trade and Convention Centre on Saturday.

More than 120 vendors will be handing out wine, beer, cocktails and food samples from restaurants in Lethbridge and the surrounding area.

Organizers say the event continues to grow every year, with other shows being held in Medicine Hat, Red Deer and Grande Prairie.

This is the 13th year it has been offered in Lethbridge.

Organizers are expecting more than 6,000 people to attend.

“Being able to talk to your direct audience, being able to get your product—you know, liquid to lips, food to lips—and being able to meet the people that come to your booth, I think that’s big deal,” said Chris Meilleur with the Alberta Food and Beverage Expo.

“It gives you the opportunity to have that face-to-face interaction, and the mood is just always so positive, and everyone is really excited to explore and try new things, and to me, that’s invaluable from a marketing standpoint.

“It’s also a lot of fun.”

Tickets for the event are available online and at the door.

The show runs from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
