A 24-year-old woman from Canmore is dead following a single-vehicle crash near Banff. Police responded to the crash just after 5:30 a.m. Sunday on Highway 1, about two kilometres west of the gates to Banff National Park. The RCMP collision reconstructionist was at the scene, restricting traffic to one lane for several hours. The scene has since been cleared. Police continue to investigate the crash and did not provide further details.
