Someone has been apprehended following a Regina Police Service (RPS) operation on Sunday. Regina police say a male suspect was taken into custody after a weapons call at a home on the 1900 block of Wallace Street. Police went to the home around 3:39 p.m. According to a news release, police were told that a male suspect was outside the home wielding a knife. This incident led to RPS asking the public to avoid the 1900 block of Wallace Street and for those in the area to shelter in place around 3:59 p.m. At 4:27 p.m., police said the operation was over and people were free to carry on as usual. No charges have been laid as of Sunday afternoon, but police say the investigation is still ongoing.
