OFM, OPP investigate suspicious fire in Creemore

Provincial police are now investigating the cause of a house fire in Creemore.

Huronia West OPP says they were contacted after the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office determined the cause of a fire at a home County Road 9 to be suspicious in nature.

Flames ripped through the building known as the Old Montgomery Farm on Friday, causing $500,000 in damage.

The OFM was initially contacted due to the damage estimate.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
