More stormy weather heading towards Central Ontario Friday

If you lost your first umbrella in the Canada Day storm, it’s time to buy another one.

According to Environment Canada, thunderstorms are headed our way again Friday.

The storm system is expected to track across western, southern and central Ontario Friday afternoon into the evening.

The national weather agency says to expect:

• Large hail, strong wind gust and heavy downpours
• Loose objects to be tossed around
• Possible power outages
• Possible damage to plants and crops
• Possible flash flooding and water pooling on roads
• Between 30 to 50 millimetres of rain

Environment Canada says isolated thunderstorms with lightning strikes are possible.
