How much snow fell in Manitoba on Tuesday

Terri Gale has your Wednesday morning look at the weather.

It was a snowy start to the week for parts of southern Manitoba, with several communities receiving up to 20 centimetres (cm) of snow on Tuesday.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Cypress River saw the heaviest snowfall with early reports between 20 and 24 cm.

Reports out of Virden and Pilot Mound both had snowfall totals of 20 cm, while Snow Lake got 15 cm.

As for Brandon, reports show the province’s second largest city got between 10 and 19 cm.

CTV News previously reported a low pressure system approaching from Alberta was expected to travel through southwest Manitoba on Tuesday, bringing with it up to 20 cm of snow.

As of Wednesday morning, there are no weather alerts issued for Manitoba.
