Immersive theatre, a bike parade and other things to do in Metro Vancouver this weekend

As the first month of 2026 comes to an end and February begins this weekend, a wide variety of events and activities are on offer. Here are some you may want to check out.

Love Lights at Cap Bridge

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s latest seasonal offering begins Friday and runs through Feb. 22.

Like the attraction’s Halloween and Christmas events, Love Lights features illuminated displays throughout the park, themed dishes in the Cliff House Restaurant and plenty of photo opportunities. This time, the theme is love and romance.

Love Lights is included in the price of admission to the park.

Light Up North Vancouver

After being postponed due to heavy rain on its originally scheduled date, the Light Up North Van Bike Parade will now be held on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The free, festive community bike ride departs from Grand Boulevard at 15th Street and travels up to Lynn Valley Centre, west toward Jones Avenue and down to the Shipyards.

Led by North Vancouver city councillors Tony Valente and Jessica McIlroy, the event will also collect donations for local bicycle charities.

The Wellness Show

More than 200 vendors and dozens of speakers are making their way to the Vancouver Convention Centre’s west building this weekend for The Wellness Show, an annual showcase of wellness, nutrition, movement, and mindful living.

Featuring live demonstrations, hands-on experiences, prize giveaways and more, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Last Resort

An immersive theatre show about the passengers on a doomed cruise ship that sailed into the Bermuda Triangle in 1971 and was never heard from again will debut this weekend at The Waldorf hotel, 1489 E. Hastings St. in Vancouver.

“The Last Resort” features “over 13 hours of discoverable content,” offering a unique journey for each audience, according to organizers.

The 19-plus show will welcome its first guests on Sunday, with additional performances scheduled through Feb. 22. More information can be found on the show’s website.

Final weekend for Polygon exhibit

This weekend marks the final chance to see Polygon Gallery’s "Lee Miller: A Photographer at Work (1932 – 1945)."

The exhibition traces Miller’s photography career after her return to New York from Paris in 1932 and through her experience as a war correspondent and one of the only female photographers to cover the front lines in Europe during the Second World War.

The exhibit ends Sunday. Admission to the Polygon Gallery is by donation.

For the sports fans

The Toronto Maple Leafs are in town this weekend to take on the Canucks. The puck drops at 4 p.m. Saturday at Rogers Arena.

Elsewhere, the Vancouver Giants host the Kelowna Rockets on Saturday at 7 p.m. and the Red Deer Rebels on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Langley Events Centre.
