Pedestrian taken to hospital following hit-and-run in Etobicoke: police

Toronto police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke Tuesday evening.

In a post on social media, police said officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck in the area of Dixon Road and Kipling Avenue at around 6:14 p.m.

They said the vehicle did not remain on scene.

A female pedestrian in her 20s was taken to the hospital by trauma run, and police said her injuries have since been determined to be non-life-threatening.

The suspect vehicle is described as being dark-coloured, and was possibly an SUV, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
