Man charged with arson following multiple fires in North Sydney, N.S.

Cape Breton Regional Police said a 32-year-old man is charged with arson following an investigation with help from the provincial fire marshal.

Police said Derrick Daniel Hall has been charged after police investigated multiple fires involving both structures and vehicles around Peppett Street and William Street in North Sydney on Saturday.

Hall is charged with:

• Arson Endangering Life
• Arson, Damage to Property x 4,
• Possession of incendiary material
• Theft of a security camera

Hall has been remanded into custody and will appear in Sydney provincial court on Monday.
