A 16-year-old has been charged in connection with a South Windsor shooting. Just after 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, police were called to reported shots fired in the 1500 block of Sagebrush Street. When they arrived, they said they learned multiple shots were fired at a home, hitting the front window and a basement wall near the back of it. Several kids were inside, according to the Windsor Police Service, but no physical injuries were sustained. The WPS said the shots were fired from a black Cadillac SUV that was stolen earlier in the evening from an auto body repair shop in Chatham. It was recovered several hours later in the 9400 block of Little River Road. Ammunition was also recovered from inside the vehicle. A 16-year-old suspect was identified and the investigation continued, with the help of the Chatham-Kent Police Service. On Saturday around 8 p.m., the suspect was arrested in the 1300 block of Cottage Place. Several pre-packaged amounts of crystal methamphetamine were also seized.
