The Jewish community came together in Innisfil over the weekend to celebrate the grand opening of a new Jewish Community Centre. Chabad Innisfil will be home for the community including a place for prayer, learning, children’s education, community gatherings, connection, celebration and more. Rabbi Zevi Kaplan and his family are excited to finally open the centre. “Very fortunate, very blessed. We’re very thankful for the almighty for bringing us to this day,” said Rabbi Kaplan. “Every member of our community is a part of it, and everybody helped make it happen.” More than 100 people were on hand for the grand opening. Innisfil mayor Lynn Dollin said the community is growing and the new centre right on the 6th Line is symbol of that. Innisfil is a growing community we are an inclusive community where everyone is welcome here,“ said Dollin. ”And we want to make that pride of inclusivity shown everywhere we go." The community centre will be the first to be open year round in Innisfil.
