Update: As of 4:03 a.m., all warnings have been cancelled. A tornado warning has been issued for the southeast corner of Saskatchewan. At 7:11 p.m. Sunday, Environment Canada issued an alert saying is meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. The storm also brings the risk of damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall. The warning was in effect for the RM of Mount Pleasant, including Carnduff. The storm is moving east at 40 kilometres per hour with areas like Carnduff, Carievale and Gainsborough in its path. Environment Canada issues tornado warnings when a storm is producing or likely to produce a tornado whereas watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes.
