Regina police are investigating an assault that landed someone in the hospital. The incident took place on June 26 at around 7 a.m. on the 1800 block of St. John Street. Officers were patrolling the area when they witnessed a fight between two women, according to a news release. When officers stopped the car and approached the two, one of the women fled while the other stayed at the scene, appearing to have been stabbed. Police say she was given first aid and transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Even after a search of the area, police say the suspect has not been found, as of Monday. Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that might aid investigators is asked to contact police or submit a tip through Regina Crime Stoppers.
