An overland flow flood advisory has been issued for Keeseekoose First Nation and Cote First Nation. The advisory also affects the surrounding areas of the two communities, according to the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA). “Water is moving across the ground as it cannot soak in or drain away. Flooding is affecting highways and community roads, some impassable,” the SPSA said in the alert, issued at 2:43 p.m. Tuesday. “Hazardous conditions may continue, creating dangerous situations for travelers and residents. This advisory remains in effect until further notice.” Instructions Residents are asked to follow the no-travel advisory and avoid any unnecessary travel. They are also advised to not cross any flooded roads and to turn around should they come across one. Lastly, residents are asked to stay away from low-lying areas and to monitor SaskAlert for updates.
