OC Transpo will be completing repairs on the O-Train Line 1 on Thursday evening, which will cause service to be suspended at several stations on the east end of the track. According to a memo from Rick Leary, the general manager of the Transit Services, Line 1 service will be shut down east of Tremblay stations after 8 p.m. to allow for repairs on the overhead catenary system. Leary says a train came to a stop at Cyrville Station shortly before 10 a.m. due to an issue on the overhead catenary system. OC Transpo is working to remove the train from the track, and Line 1 is currently only running between Tunney’s Pasture and St. Laurent stations. The R1 bus service is running between St. Laurent and Blair stations. Leary says service is expected to resume on westbound platforms between St. Laurent and Blair stations sometime this afternoon. The R1 bus service will continue between St. Laurent and Blair stations. “Customers travelling in either direction must transfer at St. Laurent Station to continue their trips,” Leary said. Leary says work is expected to be completed overnight, and regular Line 1 service will resume Friday morning.
