Winnipeg police have arrested a man after an altercation broke out at St. Boniface Hospital early Saturday morning. Police said officers were called just after 1 a.m. for reports of a “serious assault.” When police arrived, a 36-year-old man was already being detained by security. Police learned the man and a 28-year-old man got into an altercation that turned physical. The 28-year-old man suffered serious upper-body injuries, according to police. No one else was injured and police said no hospital staff were involved. The 36-year-old man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. He remains in custody.
